MediaWiki is a general-purpose hypertext collaboration system which powers wikipedia.org. It uses a markup language designed for easy collaborative editing inside of HTML forms.

I've recently been hired by the Wikimedia Foundation to help with program management and process. I'm also a longtime (but peripheral) contributor to the project, which means I generally know the lingo, but am relatively new to the details.
