On Windows - I have done this myself and also I believe a few other users have done this as well. If you choose to uninstall the application while it is still running - not all of the files get deleted from the system (leftovers in Program Files\Participatory...\Miro\... and it can result in unexpected behavior on a re-install. When selecting Miro -> Uninstall - the uninstaller should check if the application is running and prompt the user to shutdown - and refuse to continue until the app is shutdown. Hello, I've got Miro from the Packman repository running on OpenSUSE 11.3 64-bit with KDE. In Miro's preferences I've enabled the system tray icon and told Miro to run automatically when I log in. When I start my computer, Miro doesn't start automatically, so I used the KDE Autostart GUI to have it start at login. However, it always started maximized. Then I switched to using kstart, which is a program that allows you to start programs minimized, etc. In case someone knows kstart the command I use is: kstart --iconify --skiptaskbar --skippager miro Miro still started maximized. Then I told KDE to not save Miro's status when I log off, so that Miro is theoretically closed when I log off and started fresh when I log on. Same result. I've also tried using the command ksystraycmd with identical results. It would be really nice to launch Miro minimized at startup. Are there plans to include this functionality any time soon? Thanks! In order to stop/pause/ff/rw/FullScreen/Separate_window video I have to click on control corresponding interface button. Keyboards shortcuts Ctrl+D/Space/Right/Left/Ctrl+F/Ctrl+T don't work. I always had the same problem on this machine on the 2.* branch using gstreamer, so I've been using xine as video engine (everything worked nicely there). In version 3.0 you left me no choice so I am reporting it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start video playback 2. try to use any of keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+D/Space/Right/Left/Ctrl+F/Ctrl+T 3. no shortcuts work. Playback needs to be controlled by mouseclicks. Expected Results: keyboard controlled playback fedora 12. Fluxbox wm. It would be nice to have integration with it and have it able to play all this saved media in a nice way. For example, saving the screenshots in miro also work without redoing the work in elisa. Phonon takes care of the backend (Xine or Gstreamer on Linux) and provides cross-platform compatibility when used with the KDE base system on Windows or OS X. While it will probably be a substantial amount of work it would greatly increase the integration of Miro into KDE. Especially in cases where users have several audio devices which have specific defined uses through Phonon which are not known to GTK/Gnome apps and others. Created attachment 1064 External service subscription list ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: Allow for synchronizing subscriptions from a remote service iPodder & Juice currently allow user to add an OPML.xml subscription feed from an external source to synchronize subscriptions from a remove service, in its Preferences...Feed Manager dialog box. Ex: http://feeds.podnova.com/32a/32ad9389515551f0160810a2713333d6/opml.xml This allows changing a subscription list in a single location that is then updated to any client that references that address. A obvious and easy UI control in Miro to accomplish this same functionality would be greatly helpful.
